Luriely Infante Garcia (b. 2004) was born and raised in the island of Hispaniola, Dominican Republic. Immigrated to New York at a young age, where she still resides. Currently obtaining her BFA in Painting and Drawing from Purchase College of Art and Design.

The interconnectivity with the natural world, sustainability of all life. Depictions of rich voluminous biomorphic bodies, the exploration of futuristic ideas and new forms of organisms and mutations. The concept of parasite and host, representing the existential need for connectivity in the natural world. One needs the other in order to survive; survival is key in order for death. The work sparks conversations about religious ambiguity, the true essence of all power in this world, while also taking scientific perspectives in consideration. Cultural practices and self derived ideologies from glimpses into a past childhood life are representational in the work, while also exploring parts of the self and challenging the line of discomfort to reach comfort.

Luriely Infante García (n. 2004) nació y creció en la isla de Hispaniola, República Dominicana. Emigró a Nueva York a una edad temprana, donde aún reside. Actualmente está obteniendo su BFA de Pintura y Dibujo en Purchase College School of Art and Design.

Representaciones de cuerpos biomórficos voluminosos y ricos, la exploración de ideas futuristas y nuevas formas de organismos y mutaciones. El concepto de parásito y huésped, que representa la necesidad existencial de conectividad en el mundo natural. Uno necesita al otro para sobrevivir; la supervivencia es clave para la muerte. La obra genera conversaciones sobre la ambigüedad religiosa, la verdadera esencia de todo poder en este mundo, al mismo tiempo que toma en consideración las perspectivas científicas. Las prácticas culturales y las ideologías derivadas de los destellos de una vida infantil pasada son representativas en la obra, al mismo tiempo que exploran partes del yo y desafían la línea de la incomodidad para alcanzar la comodidad.
